Tod Ewing, a partner at Hanna, Ewing & Associates, is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of St. Cloud, Minnesota with a degree in Criminal Justice. He has almost twenty years of experience in managing workforce diversity. Tod served for five years as the Director of Minority Affairs at the University of St. Cloud, where he implemented a systematic program for improving racial and cultural relations. Tod is an international trainer and speaker on diversity issues. He is a certified mediator and holds a certificate of training in Total Quality Management. Tod is a co-author of a comprehensive training manual for educators and students entitled Building Cultural Bridges.

 

Janice Hanna, the founder of Hanna, Ewing & Associates, has a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.Ed. in Counselor Education. She is a certified mediator and mediator trainer and a former public school teacher. She has worked directly with racial and cultural issues since the mid-1980s, working extensively with organizations to help them effectively utilize their human resources. Janice is also a co-author of a comprehensive training manual for educators and students entitled Building Cultural Bridges.

Associates

Raytheon M. Rawls is the Director of Training and Consulting with Resolution Resources in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a highly experienced mediator and arbitrator, a registered neutral with the U.S. Roster of Dispute Resolution Specialists, and a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. She is an attorney, an administrative law judge in the state of Georgia, and a former assistant dean at the Georgia State University School of Law. Raye also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources.

Nancy Songer, MMC University of South Carolina, B.S. Texas A&M. Ms. Songer is a professional mediator and longtime training consultant for businesses, government agencies, social service organizations, schools and universities on diversity issues, conflict resolution, mediation and organizational development. She also writes on these subjects for business and academic publications and has taught conflict resolution on graduate and undergraduate levels. Ms. Songer has worked as manager of two businesses with international clienteles and as an administrator with the U.S. Department of State overseas.  In Micronesia, West Africa and the Southwest of the United States, she co-directed community development projects that focused on women's development, literacy and primary health. She has lectured and conducted workshops around the world on cross-cultural relations and community and organizational development processes.

 Elizabeth M. Woods, MHRD  Elizabeth is cultural competency specialist and Founder of Human Diversity Matters, which provides multicultural leadership training to individuals and organizations. She received a B.A. degree from Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Clemson University. During graduate school, Ms. Woods completed an internship in the Education and Training Department, at the Anderson Area Medical Center, in Anderson, SC where she designed and developed a workshop on culturally-distinctive healthcare. She has been involved in numerous grassroots initiatives to improve race relations in her local community and serves as a facilitator-trainer for the Omega Project Study Circles on race issues.
 
Angela Ewing-Boyd  Angela is a program coordinator for race relations at the Palmetto Project, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting socio-economic development in the State of South Carolina. She has a B.A. in Social Work, and was given the Social Worker of the Year award during her senior year in college. In 1992, when Angela was a junior in high school, she founded the Dreher Race Unity Task Force, which is still one of their most active clubs. This club was one of the first of similar task forces were subsequently established around the state. In 1996, an award titled The Angela Ewing Award was developed in her honor and is given annually by the Building Cultural Bridges Steering Committee to an individual or group who has given outstanding service in working to unify their school community. Angela also co-founded “Campaign Hit the Streets”, a community service project for children in a low income housing area. In 2001, Angela received the South Carolina
Year of the Child Hero Award, given by the governor to individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and work for children in South Carolina.
